Meet some of our longstanding members and leaders

Trinity has a long history of being proactive, strong in the face of adversity, faithful, and persevering. Everyone here has been through some rough, not-so-proud times, so we know where you may be now, or have been in the past. We're a humble crowd who wants to spread the Good News about why we're forgiven and saved, and how YOU can be too!  We want to be that Bridge that connects you to God and to one another!

Unique and devoted

Meet these special people who devote their lives to the church and others:

No church or any organization can function without the special talents and efforts of its volunteers! These people have been giving to our homeless and burdened neighbors for over 20 - 30 years!   

  • Bob Myers - Organist

    Bob has been Trinity's organist since 1973.  He, along with his good friend, Florence Mustric, host concerts every Wednesday at 12:15 - 12:45, presenting quality music in a very relaxed setting. Bring a bagged lunch and enjoy this majestic westside "mother church" and the sounds of its famous Beckerath Organ! (Free coffee/tea and cookies/pastry provided)

  • Robin McPhillips - Food Pantry Coordinator

    The food pantry is our longest running social ministry and Robin has been running it for over 40 years with a very committed team of volunteers!  In addition to our partnership with the Cleveland Food Bank, we accept canned and dried food donations as well. The pantry is open to Cleveland residents in poverty who are registered on sight on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 9am-noon. Volunteers to pick up and move food are also always welcome. 

  • Blake Beharry and Darlene Carr - Clothing Ministry

    Trinity Clothing Ministry offers gently worn clothing to those in need. Volunteers sort through and display donations, making seasonally appropriate clothing available to choose from. We also allow you to select up to 3 personal hygiene products.  We are open on the 3rd Saturday of each month, both in the morning and afternoon. Our clothing items are donated, so the clothing we offer is free to all who come in. Take what you need, within reason. See the calendar for open hours of service.

  • St. mark Chesterland - Community Meal Coordinators

    For years, St. Mark Lutheran in Chesterland has been coordinating food and volunteers to come to the city and feed the poor in Ohio City.  Recently St. Mark in Brunswick began to take one Saturday a quarter. The meal is served the 3rd Saturday of each month, and with Covid, is sometimes served outside BBQ Style. When weather is bad, it's served inside. We're grateful for their service!

  • Laura Simko - Celebrate Recovery

    Celebrate Recovery is a faith based recovery program that was started over 20 years ago by John Baker and Rick Warren at Saddleback Church.  We use the same 12 steps that are used in AA, etc. but add their biblical comparisons along with 8 recovery principles based on the Beatitudes.  On any given Wed. night we worship together, listen to a testimony or a teaching on one of the steps/principles, then break into small groups by gender for open share time, where we can share each others burdens and help each other on the road to recovery.  It doesn’t matter what your issue is, if have a hurt, habit or hang-up Celebrate Recovery is for you!

  • Kathi Heim - street Ministry

    Trinity Street Ministry is a group of volunteers from Trinity and all over Greater Cleveland who travel TO those in need of a hot meal, a few articles of clothing, sack lunch, personal hygiene items, a warm coat, properly fitting shoes, or just a few kind words. We help those living on the street, in shelters or transitional housing.  We purchase and/or collect donations of clothing, hygiene and food, and visit four to five specific locations on the third Sunday of every month.  The people served count on these visits to help make it through the month. Volunteers pray with and hands out bibles to anyone interested. Our average monthly distribution helps between 100-150 men, women and children.
